Full-Stack Developer

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Full-Stack Developer for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work location: Partial onsite (Tues., Wed., Thurs.) and as needed
Duration: 12 months; W2 position
Work Authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance (Public Trust).

Position summary:

The Full-Stack Developer will join a team working on modernizing their development pipeline.
This developer will be scripting and building test code, managing source control and deployment tools, and assisting the migration of these elements from traditional VMs to containers.
All positions require being able to work a week-long on-call rotation three to four times a year.

About the team:

The Monitoring, Observability, & Pipeline team is a 15person, diverse team with a strong culture of collaboration and mutual support.
Team members take shared ownership of challenges, avoiding rigid role boundaries and working together to resolve issues and ensure success.
The team is frequently selected to pilot new tools and approaches, making adaptability and flexibility essential.

Required technologies:

Python, JavaScript and Typescript
Experience with build pipeline tools (GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins)

Highly desired:

Experience with more than one language
Experience working with and integrating external APIs, including HTTPbased RESTful APIs
Containerization experience (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)

Minimum required work experience:

2 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience

Required education/equivalencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 6 years without a degree)
