Job Description

This role supports a busy repair station at Lehigh Valley Airport, performing heavy maintenance, inspections, and repairs on corporate jet aircraft, with a strong focus on Gulfstream models. You will work on a variety of high-end business jets, ensuring they meet all safety, regulatory, and performance standards while collaborating with a skilled team of aviation professionals across 1st and 2nd shift operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform heavy maintenance, inspection, and overhaul tasks on corporate jet aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Conduct detailed airframe and engine inspections, identifying discrepancies and determining appropriate corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft components and systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Carry out phase maintenance and scheduled inspections on Gulfstream and other corporate jet models.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs and work orders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Use technical manuals, maintenance documents, and schematics to perform repairs and verify airworthiness.
  • Maintain and properly use personal tools and shop equipment required to complete assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics, inspectors, and support staff to meet production schedules and turnaround times.
  • Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and quality control requirements in the hangar and on the ramp.
  • Work overtime as needed to support operational demands and ensure on-time aircraft delivery.

Essential Skills

  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of heavy maintenance experience on aircraft.
  • Hands-on experience with corporate jets, preferably Gulfstream, Falcon, Learjet, Hondajet, Hawker, Cessna, or Challenger aircraft.
  • Experience working in a repair station or MRO environment performing aircraft maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in airframe and engine maintenance, inspection, repair, and overhaul.
  • Ability to perform phase maintenance and detailed aircraft inspections.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance documentation, and schematics.
  • Ownership and proper use of a complete set of personal tools suitable for A&P maintenance work.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on Gulfstream aircraft in a repair station setting, with preference for G400, G500, and G600 models.
  • Familiarity with additional Gulfstream models such as G450, G550, G700, G650, and G280.
  • Experience with Falcon Jet models including Falcon 7X, Falcon 8X, Falcon 2000, Falcon 900, and Falcon 50.
  • Experience working on HondaJet, Cessna, and Challenger jets in a maintenance or MRO environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented hangar setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical and systems issues.

Work Environment

This position is based at Lehigh Valley Airport in a repair station and hangar environment, working primarily on Gulfstream and other corporate jet aircraft. The operation runs multiple shifts, including a 1st shift from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (5x8 schedule) and a 2nd shift from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Tuesday through Friday (4x10 schedule). The work involves hands-on aircraft maintenance using a variety of tools and equipment in an active hangar and ramp setting, with overtime available based on operational needs. The environment emphasizes safety, quality, teamwork, and professional conduct while working around high-value business aircraft.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
