DescriptionThe Aircraft Maintenance Strategy & Planning team is responsible for producing and managing maintenance packages for all aircraft events included in the hangar plan and ensuring seamless execution of heavy maintenance visits across global base locations. These visits are scheduled per the maintenance program and performed by internal or approved external vendors.
The team manages base hold content including Maintenance Program (MxP), Time Control (TC), Engineering Authorizations (EA), and deferral items, ensuring accurate work scoping and alignment with technical and operational requirements. Base maintenance visit types include stand-alone maintenance events, ultra-light checks, light checks, heavy checks, paint, gear changes, and modification visits.
Responsibilities span four core areas
Package Building – Develop and deliver maintenance packages approximately 45 days prior to aircraft arrival, and manage the package from delivery through return to service.
Aircraft Transitions – Coordinate with the NOC and vendors to move aircraft to and from heavy maintenance locations.
Station Support – Prepare maintenance stations through pre-visit coordination to review scope, risks, and unique considerations, and provide ongoing support during maintenance execution.
Analytics & Innovation – Leverage data and analytics to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and predictability before, during, and after heavy maintenance events.
The Associate Analyst supports global aircraft maintenance planning through technically grounded analysis, data coordination, and execution support for heavy maintenance and engineering-driven work. This role focuses on developing deep expertise in aircraft maintenance forecasting, task card review, and planning processes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Tech Ops. Requires close partnership with Base Maintenance, Project Planning, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate maintenance data, aligned workflows, and consistent planning outputs across fleets
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform technical maintenance analysis by reviewing long-term forecasts for task cards, Deferred Item Programs (DIPs), and log pages across multiple aircraft fleet types to support accurate maintenance planning
- Interpret and apply technical documentation including Airframe Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), and related maintenance manuals to validate task requirements, planning assumptions, and forecast accuracy
- Collect, consolidate, and organize maintenance data from multiple systems and sources, categorizing work into defined tiers based on task card criticality and planning impact
- Partner with cross-functional maintenance teams (Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance, Maintenance Programs, Aircraft Records, Project Planning) to ensure data alignment, resolve discrepancies, and support smooth execution workflows
Contribute to process consistency and improvement by identifying data gaps, documentation issues, or recurring challenges and supporting standardization and improvement initiatives
Support planning and execution reporting by preparing reports, trackers, and documentation for internal reviews, leadership updates, and stakeholder discussions

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree or related experience
- Engineering, Aviation Management, Supply Chain, Business, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other relevant field
- 1+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance programs, planning, strategy, data analytics, forecasting, continuous improvement, or related role
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, components, maintenance planning, and maintenance programs
Ability to read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthy Directives (ADs), and understanding of technical documentation and maintenance procedures
Proficient in basic tools (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn to use unfamiliar tools
Adept at juggling several projects and initiatives simultaneously through appropriate prioritization
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact at all levels (including executive) and team
